Luamed is a private laboratory providing laboratory testing and regulatory consulting services primarily for the cosmetics and personal care industry.
Luamed provides a broad range of services ranging from microbiological tests, tests proving the shelf life of your products and their stability, preservative efficacy, performance efficacy of your products and proof for the claims related to your products both in a laboratory setting and in real life use by consumers, to regulatory consulting services and cosmetic product safety assessments.
Testing services are conducted according to international standards. Where relevant we follow ISO and USP standards, where such standards don’t exist, we follow various guidelines and protocols set by the industry and recognized by the authorities. On the request of our clients we can also prepare tailor made testing protocols designed to fulfil the specific testing requirements.
We have provided testing and regulatory services to clients from all over the world, from small to large size corporations, from a single test to a full-service package proving the safety, efficacy and regulatory compliance of our client’s products. We have dealt with various types of cosmetic and personal care products: skin care products, perfumes, toiletries, hair care, body care, dental care, personal care products, make-up and others.

Tanja was born in 1988 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds a master degree in pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. She performed a part of the study at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Lisbon (University of Lisbon), focusing on the toxicology and cosmetology. Being fond of working in an international environment, she continued her studies at the CBME Center for Molecular and Structural Biomedicine in University of Algarve (Portugal), working on a protein loaded nanoparticles.
For the last five years, she is working as a regulatory consultant and a safety assessor at Luamed company. She also runs a laboratory focusing mainly on the microbiology, challenge, stability and efficacy testing of cosmetics. She has been improving her knowledge on several international seminars and courses (SCS diploma, Intensive dremato course and dermato course at Virje University in Brussels, ProDerm Academy) and also being active in presenting EU regulation and laboratory testing at different events in Germany and Spain.
