CPNP notification

The last part in the process before you can place your products on the EU market is to get them notified to the CPNP (cosmetic products notification portal).

The CPNP is an EU- wide online portal, which competent authorities and poison centres can access in order to get information about cosmetic products that are available on the EU market.

CPNP notification has to be performed by your EU responsible person. Doing the CPNP notification doesn’t mean that your products are confirmed to be compliant with the EU cosmetics regulation 1223/2009 though. Doing the notification is only one of the requirements, besides the CPNP notification you also have to make sure that you have appointed an EU-based, responsible person for your products, have compiled the Product Information File and that the labelling of your products complies with the EU regulation.
